Our Mail Server can filter spam messages or junk mails based on two principles:
- IP address of the originator
- Content of the messages
Filtering on IP address
People send spam messages using open relays. Open relays are servers that can't prevent unauthorized users from relaying mail. Various servers on the internet keep records of these black listed open relay servers. They keep an updated list of IP addresses of the computers that runs the open-relay mail server. You can easily configure our mail server to verify the originating IP address of incoming emails and if it matches with the black-listed addresses it can reject, quarantine or delete the message as per your specification.
Filtering on content
Additionally, you can define a set of phrases, which are normally used in spam or junk mails, to direct our email server to take specific action if those phrases are found inside the content of the incoming mails. After detection, our windows mail server can mark it as a spam/junk and later reject, delete or quarantine.
